Support

TMKO turns an iPhone or iPad and a pair of DJI wireless mics into a two-person podcast studio. Here’s how to set it up and what to do when something isn’t working.

Need help? Email hello@futurenow.co and tell us your iPhone or iPad model, your mic kit, and what you’re seeing.

What you need

Set up

  1. In DJI Mimo, pair both transmitters to the same receiver and set the receiver to stereo, so each person gets their own track.
  2. Plug the receiver into your iPhone’s or iPad’s charging port and open TMKO. Each mic gets its own card: Host and Guest. Tap a name to change it.
  3. Tap Record, or tap Podcast Quickstart for a conversation starter and a quick tour. On iPhone, Record and the PA switch sit at the bottom of every tab, and the sliders button opens the live sound settings.

Troubleshooting

“DJI receiver not detected”

Unplug the receiver, wait five seconds, and plug it straight into the charging port with no hub in between. Close DJI Mimo and other audio apps. If it still doesn’t appear, restart your iPhone or iPad.

Both mics show on one card

TMKO resets itself when the receiver comes up on one channel. If both voices still share a card, the receiver is set to mono: switch it to stereo in DJI Mimo.

One mic is silent

Check that transmitter is switched on, charged, in range, and still linked to the receiver.

I hear an echo

The PA is only for an audience in the room. If you use it, place the Bluetooth speaker at least 15–20 ft (5–6 m) from the mics and point it away from them. A recorded podcast doesn’t need the PA at all.

Recordings

Each recording saves three tracks: the Mix, the Voices (Host on the left, Guest on the right), and the Music & Effects. Find them in the Files app under On My iPhone (or On My iPad) › TMKO › Recordings, or share them from the app with the AirDrop button. Swipe left on a recording to delete it; you have a few seconds to undo.

Privacy

TMKO doesn’t collect any data. Read the privacy policy.
